Do I Have to Pay to Park at Holden Beach?
Yes, you must pay for public parking in Holden Beach during beach season and prime hours. Paid parking will be implemented on May 1, 2025 for all Holden Beach designated parking areas.
The parking rules will be enforced from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. daily, with free parking before and after that time. All parking will use license plates for verification.
How Do I Purchase a Parking Pass?
Holden Beach will use the “SurfCAST by Otto” parking solution.
There are 3 ways to pay for parking on the SurfCAST system:
- Download the “SurfCAST by Otto Connect” mobile app to setup your account, register your vehicle, and pay for parking - this app is available for Apple and Android devices.
- Scan the QR code on the parking signs to link to a secure website. Follow the prompts to pay for parking, or visit the secure website: https://surfcast.ottoconnect.us/pay (NOTE: There are no advance purchases, permit will go active immediately upon purchase).
- Call the Otto Connect team at 910-200-1497.
How Much is a Single Day Parking Pass?
Parking rates for a single vehicle in all designated areas will be:
$5 per hour for up to four hours
$20 per day and for any duration greater than four hours
$80 per week (seven consecutive days)
How Much is an Annual Parking Pass?
Are you staying in a monthly Holden Beach rental? It could be worth it to buy an annual pass if you're here for more than 2 weeks. 2025 Annual Parking Passes are $175 per calendar year for a single vehicle.
Is There Parking Available For Those with Disabilities?
Yes! Handicap parking is free in designated handicap spaces and only with a valid license plate or hangtag.
